Shawn's determination to support the Royal British Legion has triggered Golden Charter to launch a major charity campaign supporting the Armed Forces community. Shawn, who is a former Air Reconnaissance / Intelligence Photographer in the Royal Air Force and who is a current member of the Royal British Legion, Spenborough Branch, envisioned that with Golden Charter's support, thousands of pounds could be raised to help serving men and women, veterans and their families.
Shawn approached Malcolm Flanders, Director of Sales, and was quickly given the go ahead to approach the Royal British Legion, on behalf of the funeral plan provider.
Shawn is very proud to have negotiated between Golden Charter and the Royal British Legion. Subsequently Golden Charter launched the charity funeral plan in September 2016 where £25 is donated to the Royal British Legion for each plan provided. These plans are available nationally from any one of the 2000 independent funeral directors who are affiliated to Golden Charter or via Golden Charter directly.
Golden Charter- A Growing Partnership
Golden Charter knows that some things should never be forgotten; like the sacrifices made by those who serve us.
Which is exactly why they’re proud to support The Royal British Legion and why a donation of £25* will be made to the Legion with something else that should never be forgotten; your Golden Charter pre-paid funeral plan.
Right now, taking out a Golden Charter funeral plan doesn’t simply mean peace of mind for you. It means an extra £25* in memory of the fallen and for those serving now.
